The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and will close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the following criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a home using a combined gross house income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined family earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and want not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent citizens from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Id Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to research at a public here university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
